growalot
It melted a little but still enough left so I can see movement a long ways off...I like it...though...my fanny got frozen to the seat of my wooden stand... I'll have to remember to bring a cloth or seat pad with me now....sitting on that frozen snow and ice wasn't so comfy...lol...I went to one of the wooden stands that has industrial chemical grates as a platform...figured the others would be icy ....be careful out there this weather brings a new set of problems climbing high.... mark3885
A new inch of snow in 9K. I stood in my stand for 4 hrs., butt stayed warm and dry.Had a fork horn follow a doe around, didnt seem like he was really interested, he was probably worried about the Bills game today. lol
coonhunter
Snow off and on this morning for me also. Lots of movement early, but died off pretty quick. Some does had fawns, some didn't, so it is getting close to the rut time.
fasteddie
Grow ----- If the Industrial chemical grates are anything like the grates I use in Mendon , be careful . The ones I am talking about are metal are slippery when wet let alone icy . The 1st thing I do when I get in the stand is hook up the safety harness . growalot
Thanks Eddie...no they are a very heavy green composite with a very ruff top surface for traction...Left overs from a job Mr. B did years ago....They have been in these stands well over 12 years now...go to stands when I know the ladders will be too cold and the other wooden ones too slippery...usually for the wooden ones I have a rubber mat down ...that way I just slide the mat off ...snow on top....easy way to clean the decking during winter...haven't gotten them out yet

landtracdeerhunter
A few snow showers here but no acc.. Sat on the ground anyways. Had to watch scent with that sharp NW wind blowing. Watched 9 deer gouging themselves on that Daikon Radish. Will the sun ever shine again?
