How to bore site a gamo BB gun.

Recommended Posts

If you have something like a Black & Decker clamp bench , you could do this . Break the action open after mounting the scope . Look through the barrel and Lock onto an object about 20 feet away . Then adjust the scope so the crosshairs are on that same object . Fine Adjust the scope out of the vice .

Or , do what wdswtr said ............

Yep or clamp it down, shoot once, mover crosshairs to where projectile hit target.

I have sighted lots of airguns and usually just start at 20yds on a big piece of paper and move the cross hairs as need. Pellet guns can be vary accurate. I have one that will shoot sub MOA at 100yds. BBs not so much, but still can be decent at close range. Wind can be a killer with this light ammo at long range.

Clamping down is probably not realistic advice for an airgun, as you'll have to pump it, or break the barrel to charge it up.

Unless it's a CO2 gun or a PCP, clamping usually is not an option.

I sure think it is realistic to get the scope on target. You only need to shoot it once and then move the crosshairs to the point the bb hit the target. Now your on paper and dial it in from there which should be awfully darn close to spot on.
