skully
Have really never had opportunity but i am sure I would. But I do know a guy that lived bordering vassar farm in poughkeepsie where there are some monster bucks. He shot a bunch of deer over years over 150 class. You would not believe they were from dutchess county ny. He was telling everyone he shot them behind house in the woods where it turns out it was from his back door. Probably feeding them 2. Def changes your perception of someone.......
dbHunterNY
i've passed multiple bucks i've assumed to be up to 3.5 yr olds that were under my apple tree in the backyard. i only own 1-1/4 acres at the house and my neighbors are all okay with me discharging whatever last time i checked which might not be good enough. i really don't think a 4.5+ yr old buck would be under my apple tree unless it was at night. a bow would be a little disrespectful for me because i know it's likely to leave my property. a rifle i could dump it right there potentially, despite it's more obnoxious. so it's a possibility but really likely not. no different than capitalizing on opportunity by shooting a buck you didn't pattern, track, or pull in on a managed property.
