WNY Bowhunter Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) The orange/amber coloration is caused by a melanin defficiency in the beard feathers which causes them to be brittle and break off. NYHUNTER92 Posted May 8, 2013 Author Share Posted May 8, 2013 thanks guys.well i went up friday morning after i got out of work at 4am to get up there by am which made me alittle down seing as it was already light out aswell as the first setup was windy and couldn't here anything, well then we went over 100 yards and the wind died down and we called in 6 nice toms me and my father each got a nice bird. that night my freind who had never gone hunting before came up and we got out early the next morning and we called in a couple of jakes and a small tom to 40 yards and i shot first since i was using the bow and when my bird dropped the others came and started kicking him and my freind wasted no time dropping his and we eneded up with a double Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
