Turkey Hunting in Rain

Just curious if anyone out there has had any luck killing gobblers in the nasty weather. Driving into work today i saw a tom strutting on the side of the road at 8:30. I've heard plenty of positives and negatives about this topic.

One year I shot a gobbler during a downpour.............chase him up a mountain to do it .

Their hearing is dimished, therefore they can often be found in an open field.

 Decoys are nice to have in open terrain so even if they can't hear your calls, they can spot the deke.

i got up. looked out the window and said screw it. it's like hunting deer in the rain, riding my motorcycle in the rain or playing golf in the rain. You can do them all but it's just not enjoyable.

Heck, I didn't even get up.  I had my wife draw the blinds and saw the tree tops swaying in the breeze and said, lower the blinds, baby............
