Great ending, I watched the final 8-9 holes.

 

However the gallery at the 2013 PGA Championship was an embarrassment, the absolute worst ever at a major the analysts are saying. People yelling dumb things like "Mash Potato", "Chewbacca", "Baba Booey", etc. It was pretty pathetic and made the fans look pretty bad.  Things like this don't have happen at the Master's, etc.

The PGA President was doing and interview on how they want to attract  a greater diversity of people to the sport. With that attraction comes this type of behavior. It is a trade off.

The words being yelled out thing has been going on for years. I was at the tourney Friday and heard guys yelling stuff. As long as they arent messing with someones shot, whats the big deal? I hear a guy yell Rutabaga the first time, then he BaBa-Booey'ed on the next hole. Other guys were just yelling "In The Hole" at every putt. Gotta let people have their fun.

Yeah, the galleries were bad, almost most as much as NYC trying to teach Sergio how to count. i can certianly see how 1 idiot yelling something is worse the the whole gallery counting. Edited August 12, 2013 by pewlodar

WNY, the yelling after the shot doesn't bother me and I don't think that is what the complaint was,. I personally saw it on 3 holes during the putt swing

I was watching with my fiance and neither of us thought she was even attractive. They always talk up the winners wife...I'm not saying she's ugly, but she's just average.

they interviewed duffner on mike an mike the other day. He said the yelling after the shot doens't bother him and so far nobody has yelled while they're swinging. I think if anything it's becoming a trend that has increased and certainly did not start in Rochester. It has made it annoying to watch on tv as golf and baseball are usually my "read a magazine or drift off into a nap on sunday" kind of sporting events to watch.
