Figs

Recommended Posts

I grow them down here in the city and they grow like 2-4 ft a year at least. They grow much better here then back in Europe. I have seen a few in ulster county though so they might be able to take the cold especially if you cover them in the winter. You might want to get one of the more cold hardy figs as well.

My neighbor had one years ago that produced ridiculous amounts of fruit. So much so that we were both overrun with ants. Chopped It down. My buddy has one in westchetse and it is doing well. Took some TLC in the beginning (wrapping in the winter and starte fertilizers, etc.)
