beachpeaz
his other eye is on the other side of his head! He is not a flounder with both eyes on 1 side. lol. that is why you can't see it. His head is faced forward and perpendicular to the camera.
BizCT
How do you guys lighten up the pics like this?
burmjohn
I used a chrome extension called. Pixlr - > https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pixlr-touch-up/jklljiahjgoglchglekebfljnmbaleig But any photo app will do that, Picasa is free too and works great. I use that to organize my trail camera photos.
BizCT
Wish there was a way to enhance pics like this one. Can't tell what the rack is because it was moving.

With photoshop you might be able to clean that up a bit, but it would still be blurry.
growalot
Thanks I can see that now....wish I could see tines..looks like he might have brow tines?
Geno C
Could have poked it in a fight and the reflective. Overinf was damaged or developed something over the years. I've had a few bucks on camera that had one eye non reflective also had a doe as well and a racoon. Sometimes these critters move through some thick brush and they get poked and scratched, enough to cause damage to the reflective covering. Doewhacker
Its a buck for sure. I can tell beyond a shadow of a doubt its a 6.4576 year old buck, on the down slope after an injury sustained while fighting a larger buck two years ago today. Weighs between 162 and 163.61 pounds dressed, likes clover but will eat corn. He likes the color burnt orange and loves the smell of fresh baked apple pie. How did I do? growalot
Thanks Geno...looks like his head was just turned at the right angle...Hey...no matter it's a buck and they are piling in just as I said they do every year...right on time...lol...have several others that are smaller spikes 4,5,6 a couple of OK 8's...now just to find out where they are moving and when ...during day light...the big boys have this area saturated right now....I can't even tell ya how many truck doors I heard and beams of light I saw at 5:45 this morning....I'm just hoping some of those smaller 8's fill a few of the tags around

BizCT
No problem. Thanks for the effort. I switched out that cam and put a 3-shot burst cam in that spot instead. Hopefully 1 out of 3 will be clearer going forward.

Its actually not the covering that's reflective, its the inner eye. If an eye is not reflecting, its most likely blind in that eye for these nocturnal animals. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems The part that allows them to see is behind the eye no? I'm sure there would be a reflective part infront? Lol I'm no dr just my guess with over the years of seeing one eye deer.
