growalot
So doe comes down trail and is nosing around startles a bit ..not bad then leaves the trail and walks right to my stand down wind...hangs around a bit and leaves...few minutes later a spike comes up the same trail doe was on...gets to where she startled and drops like a rock veering off at full speed circling round the trail but still headed up hill...obviously something left it's mark there...Now on the way in I had a yote cross in front of me but that was 3 hundred yrds from this stand...from the different reactions ...do you think .... a ...yote urinated b.... a rutty buck urinated

DanceswithSkunks
I would wager to say the spike smelled scent left by a mature buck he had a bad experience with. The coyote would be a close second
landtracdeerhunter
b. and shes not bred yet. She's missed the first go around or maybe an early born doe fawn. You must have a lot of doe. If she were to stay in this area, I'd be hunting there. She's close. Then comes the old judgement call, shoot the doe or take a chance on the buck, that just may well come in. Maybe be real lucky and shoot them both. Hope it turns out for ya with a dual harvest pic, LOL. Edited November 26, 2013 by landtracdeerhunter
