Jennifer
Exactly, find a round that someone can shoot comfortably and the only issue you can't practice for is getting the shakes when you see a deer (or any critter you might hunt) I am a firm believer in shooting my guns year round, that way when the time comes I just pull up and Kaplow without worrying. 3 for 3 so far with a total tracking distance of 1 yard and that was because the twit started to move when I shot. But I will look into the .243 and other rifles out on the market right now. This is why I still use my shotgun even though we can use rifles now in this area. I grew up with it, and use it year round for hunting and skeet, and it's like another appendage to me.
Water Rat
I'm glad my wife isn't a hunter . I can't imagine waiting on her to get out in the morning . Whenever we go somewhere , it always seems like I'm waiting for her to shower , do her hair and make up and iron her clothes. I haven't got the time for that . 518BowSlayer
I watched my gf shoot her first deer this year. a big doe, 135lbs field dressed. 20yd shot with the bow.hopefully she'll pop a big gobbler this spring. so glad she finally got into hunting. she loves it so much that she's going to school for wildlife management. she wants to work for DEC someday. its nice having a gf who will sit in the cold woods with you all day and isn't afraid to shoot, gut, and butcher deer or any other type of game. wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!!!
