Safe Act forum at the Oncenter

I am just curious if anyone plans on attending the safe act forum today at 3 at the sportsmans show at the oncenter in syracuse? Due to circumstances I have had a change of plans for my weekend and will not be able to make it. was just curious if anyone here was going to make it and could post some info about what was said. I wss curious to ask what the prices for a background check for ammo was going to be. Hearing it could be $10-20 just pisses me off so wanted to find out about that and any other info given. If anyone attends and is able to post some info that would be great!

According to SCOPE there is no provision to charge money for a background check on ammunition in the safe act. This is from the Scope website.http://www.scopeny.org/safe-act/   see number 2.

Of course this probably does not mean that whomever is doing the check can't charge other administrative fees like some are doing now for transfers of firearms.

I think the deal is that the state is not charging for the background checks, but the retailers may charge for their inconvenience.
