oblivitar
yeah, skip to about the 7:30 mark. 43.75" long Lake Trout
Pygmy
That is one big lake trout. However, at the risk of being a wet blanket, I'd have to say that it is nowhere near a world record. The all tackle record is 72 pounds, taken in 1995. Commercial netters have taken lakers that pushed 100 pounds. The fish in the video might go 40 pounds at best. Helluva fish, but no world record. UpstateNomad90
I believe by near world record it is meant through the ice, because the first time I saw the video I laughed at the size and was like no way is that a record Laker. But I believe it is just short inch wise for the longest trout through the ice.
