Turkey hunting magazine

With Turkey and Turkey Hunting Magazine being out of print what other good turkey hunting magazines are out there?  I would read that thing from cover to cover waiting on May to get here!

G, that is a GREAT organization and they do have a good mag...I was just partial to the Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazine....sure miss it.  Hope to find one of same quality to ease the time waiting till May!

I don't think there are many options other than Turkey Country from the NWTF. You could always pick up some turkey hunting books. If you like reading about techinques and strategies there's a million and one "how to" type books out there. Personally I prefer "hunting story" type books. Tom Kelly's books are a good place to start, they are easy to find and can be had fairly cheaply, Tenth Legion and The Season are a couple good ones. If you are willing to look a little harder and spend a bit more for some out of print books, The Old Pro Turkey Hunter by Gene Nunnery (my personal favorite), Turkey Hunting: A One Man Game by Ken Morgan, The Flaming Turkey by Robert Hitt Neill, or East of the Slash and Bird of Courage by Wade Wineman are all good reads.

Gotta agree with alloutddors, no real options since T & TH went out of print. Turkey Country seems mostly geared to guys from Dixie, and 1/2 the articles are about food plot & habitat (not bad things, but not a big interest here). There are internet forums geared to turkey hunting, most of the guys are pretty knowlegeable and low on the drama. Or read some books. Or better yet, hit some states that open in March or April & create your own stories!!

Not sure what happen to T & THM, but they sure had some get articles and knowledge of wisdom. I haven't found anything to take the complete place of it yet, and in this day and age, I doubt very much if u will.
