2010 Moon Phases for November and December

  I have seen a few guys talking about the Moon Phases    So here they are...

So I got a question.  The fuller the moon the less day time deer activity there is, correct?  Is this because there is more light at night and deer can see better?

Pretty basically, yep. There are theories that the amount of moonlight stimulates a gland in doe and pushes their bodies into estrous as well.

I believe that is true but I think it is sunlight that triggers it.  I could be wrong though.  I read it some where and it said, "light", so I just assumed sunlight!!!

Ah, clearly opening day rifle for Southern zone will be a full moon! Bleh, hopefully the pressure will keep them moving!

Yeah if you read into Charles Alsheimer's theory, it specifically says the amount of moonlight. Ill see if I can find the link for you.

I agree with the hole light at night aspect but....did you guys notice last night how at 10 pm the moon had already settled over the horizion and was NOT visible. so what is your take on teh effects then? Ok it is fullbut they can't see it...lol

BTW, I never said I am 100% sold on his theory. It is very interesting to read about and try to correlate my deer observations with.
