savage1354
So quick question to throw out there. I am switching to some gold tip xt hunter 5575 arrows and am going to fletch with the smaller 2" blazer vanes. I am planning on going out and buying a new bohning blazer jig setup. I shoot left handed and because of that my question is what type of jig should I buy. All that I have found put a 3 degree RH helix to the fletching. Do they make a 3 degree LH or is the RH what I should be fetching with? Any insight would help. Thanks in advance.
fasteddie
You can buy a Left LH Bohning Jig at EBAY or else buy the RH and have to buy a LH clamp fot $13 plus shipping ...... http://www.amazon.com/Bohning-Archery-Class-Fletching-Clamp/dp/B00JU7YCEE/ref=pd_sbs_sg_26?ie=UTF8&refRID=0W3GECN5RH21G7807EEE
fasteddie
The EBAY price is less than $35 so there would be a shipping cost ........ Maybe you can find a LH somewhere else .

chiefbkt
I have the Jo-jan fletcher and it can be ordered for either one. It's a sweet setup.
skyhunter
I use a Bitzenburger. you can adjust right or left offset with a straight clamp or buy a helical clamp. I tried other cheaper jigs before buying the Bitz, and they were a waste of time and money. Edited May 11, 2014 by skyhunter
orion
If your question is "I shoot left handed do I need a Left Helical jig?" I believe the answer is no. Left/right helicals and offsets are what you find works best for you. NAP Quickspins shouldn't be left helical or left offset because of thier design

As long as the vanes don't have a foil tab , it would be okay .
nyslowhand
Page down to the "Right or Left?" paragraph: http://www.huntersfriend.com/carbon_arrows/hunting_arrows_selection_guide_chapter_4.htm
dbHunterNY
you're going to spend more money for a bitz or jig that you have to buy clamps separate so it depends on how much you want to spend, but you don't necessarily need a left or right helical dependent on whether you're right or left handed. I use an EZ Fletch and it works good. you're doing all vanes at once too.
