Move a trail camera? I have 30 acres that my family owns. I'd say about 4 of it is a pine plantation and the rest is hardwoods with a bunch a old logging trails going through. This is my second season with cams and I now have 3. Last I didn't get a ton of picture and I pretty much moved them all every time I checked them. How do you all set up you cameras?

I have a little over 20 acres but only have two cam's , so I always hang one near my tree stand and I have a stream that runs through the property so I hang one on the other side of a well used run and make sure the time is set correctly on the cams !

I have left one of my cams in the same location for almost 2 years . I get a lot of pics on it but it's too open to hunt . Maybe if rifles are allowed that will change .

I keep 2 cameras out where I go most often. I pretty much keep them to one field because of the woods and water and treestand and my blind. I don't move them every time and might move one and put it back next time I am out.

Why do you move yours every time?

I haven't really this year. My property is long and narrow and the deer cut across it most so I've been trying to find out where they are crossing. Also last weekend I cut up a big tree that was blocking one of the trails that goes down the center of our property. I'm hoping that changes up there patterns some

Minimum soak time on a camera should be 2 weeks. a month is better. I will usually move once before the season as the patterns shift from a summer pattern to a more fall pattern.
