deerhunter1699
Oh haha sorry I'm in Oneida county
WestchesterBowman
Too far north for me to contribute. If you were in the south, no one holds a candle to Malafy's in Red Hook.
RangerClay
Northern or southern Oneida? If you are near Booneville, it would be worth the drive to go to Millers in Lowvile.

PREDATE
I think he was asking if you had a spot to try processing the deer yourself. That's what I've always done. I enjoy doing it and my dog absolutely loves it! Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk

skeets716
http://marshmillranch.com/ is a great place, have been going there for the past 7 years. Great service, CLEAN shop and owners are very friendly. Vacuum pack available. Jerky is great & the cuts of meat have always been high quality. A little bit of a drive from Oneida but worth it.
Culvercreek hunt club
we process 10-15 deer a year. at $70 each, no way could we have it taken anywhere. And I think our product is better. Give it a shot. watch a few videos and have at it.
PREDATE
one of my neighbors are vegetariansBut I'm assuming you're not. It's perfectly legal. So what if he's a salad shooter, your neighbor just didn't evolve to the top of the food chain. Lol Here's 1 tip for ya. If possible, try to skin them while they're still warm. It makes it easier plus it allows the meat to cool faster. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk

Culvercreek hunt club
He's talking about skinning to process the meat. It releases much easier when warm.
Culvercreek hunt club
If you want a processor, check the DEC web pages and a thread here about the venison donation program. I am betting those that process for donations also process for the hunters.

NeverSeenNorHeard
Nothing like doing it yourself, it really takes the entire experience full circle. If your worried about the neighbors, use a tree limb & rope in the field to at least to quarter it, remove back-straps and don't forget about the tenderloins! Bring it home, get consent for what your about to do (if necessary), slap the 1/4's on the table, get on youtube for a how-to, grab a knife and begin learning. If you decide to jump in here is my biggest tip - Buy a food saver (if you don't already have one) & a roll of plastic to make custom sized bags. Then, pack small packets( enough for one or two people, esp if your the only one eating it). It will last you longer, with less waste this way. Also, take the time to remove any & all fat, including sliver skin, so you don't have to do it later. You may also feel a deeper respect for the animal when you do everything.
