virgil
Was hoping for a bit of advice from anyone who's had a well installed recently. I'm planning to have a well drilled on a piece of property I'm buying for a hunting camp. I've spoken with a site prep contractor who would take care of the excavation and the septic, and would subcontract the well drilling. Am I bettor off contacting a well driller myself, or would you generally expect the site prep/excavation guy to coordinate the well. Thanks. jjb4900
we had a well drilled several years ago and dealt directly with the drilling company (Titan), I would think that any time you use a middleman you also pay them a fee to set things up with the drilling company, you very rarely get something for nothing......they did everything from the drilling, the electric hookup and the plumbing. G-Man
Dealt with driller, and he did all the work... middlemen are problems
raymerlo
just keep in mind the distance between the well and the septic, usually a 100'
