Ive got nothing but does on the cams. Lots of them and I'm fine with that because where the does are the bucks come. My brother got his first buck ever last year and its a beauty. Mount just came in

i checked my cam before ealry bear season.. saw 2 small young bucks and i noticed a lot of malnutriton. ill upload some pics. im going to throw some corn this weekend to see whats in the area. ill keep everyone update. btw im in wurtsboro area.

I have had mostly does on my camera, though I did catch several pictures of a 5 point and a few of a 4 point.  I hunted the first Sunday and Monday of the season.  I had some yearlings pass under my stand but I let them go.  Momma was a little more wary and ended up busting me on the draw because I was so excited that my muscle memory kicked in and I almost ripped my arm out of my socket.

 

I hurt my should earlier this year and I have to draw my bow a very specific way or else it really, really hurts.

 I hurt it about a year ago at the gym.  I thought I tore my rotator cuff, but the MRI said different.  I shut my shoulder down from all weights and archery for 6 months and it was feeling pretty good around August when I started shooting again.

 

However, being the stubborn ass I am, I tweeked it in the gym again, about a week before the season.  I had no idea how badly I had re-injured it until I tried to draw back my bow and saw stars.

 

Ah well, after bow season, I'll probably have to shut it down for another 6 months, but I'm trying to limp through until the season is over.

Things are looking up, saw two 10 points with 7 does in the field when I was leaving on Monday, I'm hoping one of them is the deer that has been rubbing in the area of my stand

Had 3 does app. Me dead down wind, got to within 50 yards and the noses went up, gone. an hour later a buck comes in, nose to the ground and hits that down wind spot and trots off, at least it's action

I had 8 or 9 doe in front of me this morning as I was getting ready to draw on the biggest one in comes a heavy horned bruiser on the hunt for some love,never stopped for a shot chased them all around and they all ran back into the thick stuff,this guy was in the mood for love.I have never seen a buck chasing this early.....the wind got pretty nasty so I packed it in at lunch time...this is gonna be a long week.

With any luck, I'll be back up to 3H Sunday through Tuesday.  Going to have to do some test draws with my bow first to make sure I can still shoot it.  If not, I may have to borrow a crossbow from a friend.

Forcast for next weekend in 3H is highs in the 30's. Looking good.

Yeah, I'm excited.  I'm going up late tonight to hunt Sunday and Monday.  I'll be in the area of Mongaup Valley or Claryville, not really sure which yet.

Saw some new scrapes opening up today in liberty. I hope the fact that I grazed a doe today didn't kill my spot for tomorrow

Saw a 6ptr this morning,rack was nothing great but he had a huge body,he never gave me a shot just passed thru.Saw a bunch of scrapes that were not there last week so the action seems to be heating up.......Good luck everyone and be safe Next weekend...
