firehunter48
2009 PSE stinger, new (last year) vapor trails bowstring. 58lbs. Gold tip cut hunter arrows. Loud, slow, and deadly. There are way way way better bows out there but don't want to spend 1500 on a new setup. Next bow will be when I start planning my first elk hunt. 2017? I shoot a 2011 Stinger 3g and I don't have any of the problems of being loud OR slow. I shoot 62#'s with 28.5" gold tips and am shooting right around 285-290fps, which in the case of some of the newer bows, yes its slow but it's MORE than accurate and more than enough to do the job. And loud? I can honestly say that I have never shot a bow than was as quiet as this one is. Maybe I just got lucky with mine. But to answer the original post. I shoot the 2011 PSE for my main bow then I have a 1996 PSE beast 4x4 for my back up. Now that thing is loud and slow. I thought about an Elite when I bought the newest PSE but couldn't justify that kind of money knowing that any well placed arrow with a sharp broadhead will kill a deer or bear. That 2011 PSE was $400 complete minus arrows. The only thing I have done to it was add my own paracord sling and am going to change the supplied whisker biscuit to a drop away that i took off my 2010 alpine b4 I gave to my cousins kid so he could hunt this year. abuckn6does
I have and only use my 1990 PSE. I do get teased about the speed, but I get a few deer ever year with it. I reply that when the deer jumps the string. My arrow hits them when they come back up.

DirtTime
My bow is old. '94 PSE Thunder-Flite Express. Had to buy used and was on a super tight budget ( $200 was all I could scrape together this season ). Put the best sights and rest I could for now. Seems to be pretty nice shooter for the age, I haven't shot a bow since I was 24, so most of the issues I have are user related. Still getting 4 inch groups at 35 yards with her and my rusty frame.
