hogs in ny

Before the season started there was talk about them being in ny has anybody seen/shot one since the seasn started?

I think I saw one in Tom's Original Bar & Grill on Route 104 nere in Ontario .

Other than that , some folks have reported seeing feral hogs in the Southern-Tier near the Pennsylvania border .

  Wow ! 475 pound hog . Lucky he could tow it and get some help hanging that big thing !

Read the article . The hog was coming at the guy who shot it with his 12 ga .

A guy shot one in Moravia a few years back that was over 700 pounds! I saw the picture at the gun range in Moravia while my son was taking his Hunter Safety course.Now that was a pig!

That was a pet that wandered off for a day or 2.

Most of the ones seen have been loose for several generations.

This one was hand raised pet (only way to be 700lbs) that was loose for a couple days - big difference.

Like shooting a farmers milk cow that got thru the fence.

  Maybe in New york its a pet but down south 700 bls hogs are taken yearly and we get to hunt hogs year round we have farel, russian and javelins the javelins have a season.

I didn't even think feral or russian hogs where in New york. I will tell ya'll if you have farel hogs kill them they will tare your food plots up and land. Russians (pure) arne't as bad but they will cross bread.

I was more so talking this year only. We had a post on here about hogs and seeing them before the season. Now nothing has been said about them. Just curious. I could have asked how many people seen mountain lions but I didn't want to start trouble.
