The State Senate approved a bill on Wed to allow rifle hunting in Niagara County (except for cities of Lockport, Niagara Falls, and North Tonawanda) and is now on the way to the Assembly for vote where it is expected to pass.

Amazing.

20 years ago I’d never dream “Rifle Hunting” would even come to the southern tier, now Niagara County?   It won’t affect me but I’m happy for those that can, just let’s be careful and know your backdrop.

The state is pulling out all the stops to raise deer harvest numbers in the Lake Plains area.  Certainly, the early  antler less season not doing it

I received weekly newsletter from State Sen. Robert Ortt office and it states the bill is ready to be signed, having passed the senate and assembly. Now it is up to Hochul to sign it and make it legal. Until then it will be illegal to use rifle for deer hunting in Niagara County.
