Looked like it worked well.

Our local deer processor has been doing that for years.

They hang the deer from a strong beam and use aircraft cable rather than rope.

Works great, even with cold rigor mortis deer.

Having access to a tractor w /loader we do something similar. hang deer from bucket,lower bucket all the way, attach hide to front push bar and lift, done.

I did one once and pulled it right in half, with the backs traps hanging there as nice as you could ever want!
