Firenailer
I'm continuing to clean Rifles I no longer use, (and it looks like the 30-30 Buyer is in the wind) so... First is a Marlin 30-30 CS Lever Action with a 3-9 Variable Simmons Scope + 6 Boxes of Ammo (5 Hornady Leverevolution 160's and 1 Federal Premium Nosler 170's) $400 The second is a Ruger M77 Bolt .270 with Rings (no scope) + 6 boxes of ammo ( 5 PMC Precision Lock 130's and 1 Federal 130 Sierra BTSP) This is the Red Butt Pad, Slide Tang Safety Rifle. $600 Both rifles were manufactured in the early 80's and have excellent blueing and NO rust. The wood Stocks have some normal dings from carrying while hunting but no chips or scratches. All Safe Law Requirements complied with and buyer pays background check and shipping if needed. I prefer Face to Face and will travel as far as Middletown Gander for the NICS check. I'm in Westchester and have used a FFL in Kisco for a couple of recent sales. Both charge $10) Thanks for Looking Edited January 3, 2015 by Firenailer

Pygmy
One of my hunting buddies has used a Tang safety R77 in .270 as his main deer rifle since about 1970. It shoots tiny little cloverleafs with any load he puts through it.
Pygmy
That Ruger looks to me like a hell of a deal for someone.. My two main hunting rifles are a .280 and a 7mm08, so ballistically I have the .270 bracketed, otherwise I would jump on it...
Firenailer
Thanks guys, I'm surprised it's still there too! I'm guessing not too many guys have really seen how well the .270 does on game. I'm thinking I'll just keep it in the safe and if I don't shoot it much again this year at the Range I'll list it again before hunting season. I'll agree with Pygmy though, that gun is as accurate as anything I've ever shot. I left it out in Colorado for 10 years as I used to hunt there every year with my ex Father in Law and reaching out 300 Yds for Mulies was no problem! I may know someone who wants the 270 I'll ask and get back to you tomorrow
Firenailer
Hey Chef, how the heck are you? I lost your number but was hoping that you were loving my old 30-30. Glad to hear that your happy and will be hunting with it this year! Good luck, shoot straight and let me know how the hunt goes! I pulled Doe Tags in 3n so I'll be hunting with my 44 Mag again. No rifle zone again this year Edited September 9, 2015 by Firenailer
