Pheasant hunting in the snow

Me and my dad are planing on going hunting in Stewart state forest tomorrow. With about 6 inches of snow we were wondering if it was worth it to go out or just stay in. BTW we don't use a dog.

Sounds like a good day to hunt to me. The birds may be closer to thick cover, find a track and walk them up!  Wish I was going.

Fresh snow.......run them down.  It'll sure tell the tale if any birds are around.

No They don't Allow cars into Stewart after deer season

im assuming you hike in from ridge rd?  that a decent walk to the fields off ridge.  good luck and keep us posted!
