A new virus...

Saw on the news a 50 something year old man died from a new tick borne virus( did not catch the name)  after having been bitten several times....thought I'd post this winter tick warning for you...

I don't believe it kills them......they may slow down, but a warming period in January or February will get them active again.

The snow actually is what kills them. When they fall off a deer and drop on the snow, they usually die.

This virus is not "new" to the world but it is extremely rare. Only 8 people have been infected with only in the world, and so far this man is the only documented case of this in the U.S.

that's a new one, so after this year there should be none left.......good to know.
