45/70
Don't know if this is the wright place to post this question But down here the acorns are dropping I was wondering how the beech nut crop looks Up north. The deer and the bears really need a good Nut crop.

NFA-ADK
I was wondering the same thing as I have notice the acorns are dropping on LI like mad. I am always interested in how that is going. I know on LI conditions are very dry. The 3 ponds at Suffolk Archers have been dry for over 3 months now.
45/70
Well I am about in the middle of the Hudson valley. And we have had quite a bit of rain but with some dry spells. And our nuts are all over the road I take my walks.on they are big and green. I am sure some are from the critters chewing them off the branches. TrailsEndTom
Acorns are dropping from the squirrels still small and wormy. Here in the southern Catskills. Wild Cherries dropping also. Haven't checked the beechnuts yet.
ATbuckhunter
Some red oaks have been dropping by me but they're pretty green so I'm starting to think that they were hit.
sailinghudson25
Oaks are good in the catskills. Hickory are OK. A little tip. IF you stand hunt up there, put some fertilizer around the canopy edge of the tree. I put down A bag of fertilizer per 3 to 4 oaks or hickory. Really wakes them up. A little lime helps too.
