Partridge run

  Anybody hunt grouse up there.  I am heading up that way and was wondering if there are any good to better spots to try.  I don't need to know about your honey hole just someplace that we can see some and get some shooting.  Any help would be great.

  I've hunted there a few times and don't see a lot of birds. I put up a few by fawn lake and some off of high rd. If you get over by bradt hollow rd they released pheasants this year. maybe their are some left. Don't spend time over by kingsfisher rd, i hunted deer and didn't see any birds. there is state land off of route 23 in town of North Pharsalia and the DEC several years ago worked on one small piece  for making it for grouse. Lots of brush and feed...

I hunted Partridge run for deer season this year.  Kicked up a lot of grouse all over.  Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly where because I don't know the street names.  There's plenty of them out there though.  Try around White Birch pond.

Guys thanks for the heads up hopfully I will have some great pics to show you.  I am brining my lab for the first time so it should be interesting to say the least.

  If you never been there,they have maps in the boxes. Its hard to get lost because of all the trails. I love hunting up there. There is a lot of land..Good luck to you and your lab.

Went up there this past fall and hunted a total of about 4-6 hours put up all kinds of grouse and shot one or two woodcock. First time ever there. I had heard about and took my GSP up there and just had a blast. Go to one of the kiosk and get a map so you kind of know where your at. Beautifull grouse cover.

  Well the trip wasn't a total flop we heard some grouse take off.  The snow really put a damper on things.  Couldn't see very far.  The dog had a blast and it was good to get out anyway.  I will be back up there for sure.

Weird question but was there any squirrel activity?  I was gonna head up there for squirrel today but with the storm coming in I didn't feel like chancing it.

  I was in an area that wouldn't have held to many grey squirrels.  I did see some red squirrle tracks but not that many.  I went right after that snow storm on fri.

I wouldn't think so, it has been the light fluffy variety of snow. I would guess they have maybe a foot and a half so there will be less in the thick stuff.
