If a deer shows up and I have a tag for it, I take it. I have been burned thinking I can always get a doe whenever I want. Most of the time it turns out that after opening day, all the deer go into some unknown underground cavern never to be seen again until after the season is long over.

I shot a doe opening day in the afternoon . I saw no deer in the am . I shoot them for the meat . The doe is in my freezer . If you hunt for the horns , good luck !  DMPs are issued for a reason .....

I would, because I can hardly get my eyes on a deer once opening weekend is over. I'm jealous of you guys that can decide to "take a doe" whenever you feel like it
