How does that throw n grow product work

Spend less on winter rye, and end up with more forage. JMO.

It works, but like WNY said, get the winter rye for a 1/4 the cost and you'll be much happier.  Or just buy clover since that what a majority of the bag is.

You still need to remove the ground trash, kill off the weeds and it's better to scratch surface... for the money you spend on seed take the time and do it right,try throwing it on a lawn vs bare ground and see for yourself. Good news is you can do all the prep by hand with a sprayer and a rake.

go buy some winter rye, rape, and some med red clover.  All three will germinate well if you kill vegitation and scratch up ground.  All prefereed by deer. kill off vegitation in spring/summer and than plant mid to end of August.
