Which model FN were you shooting? I shot the 43 with +P and with it having a larger and heavier upper than most pocket sized 9mm it handled them better than the sheild. I have never shot a FN but looking at them they are a little bigger and heavier than the 43 or shield. Either way it took longer than my SD9VE to get back on target.

I got the new FN compact, it's really sweet . The trigger on it is as nice aa a ppq. It is slightly larger then my 43 however it conceals nicely and makes a great fall winter carry.

A .380 is just a 9mm short. Both .38 caliber. If you don't mind carrying a larger pistol, hands down the 9mm. Problem is 9mm pistols have to be larger to handle the pressure. Too large for my liking f
