cheap chinese tires...

They lasted just one year on the tow sprayer....2 ply ,no match for the shale ...My fix didn't work and even though just one was shot...the other wasn't far behind...so 70.00 and 2 new 4 ply are ready to go after the rains and winds. Thank heavens the next discing can be a very light one for chicory plus is going in one section sorghum in another and ??? still thinking...I still have at least another 3 years of late winter/spring york raking to do to get the area "safe" for the equipment tires. by that time it will have the needed tilth and nutrients to produce a good perennial plot of size.

My philosophy on tires is: "Buy once, cry once."

It's an annoyance with a tow-behind implement, but it's an absolute, day-changing hassle when it's the machine that's doing the pulling.

 yep same here, those were the original tires.

Where did you get 2- 4 ply implement tires for $70 that were not China manufacture? My cost is running 70 a piece for Firestone for 16"s.

These were 4.10-3.10-6...much smaller it's only a 15 gal. tow behind.

I have used the China rear tractor tires on my Ford N tractors in the past and don't have any complaints. They go on the rim tough; act like an 8 ply. My N's all sit outside in the sun 5 years o more with no cracks yet; knock on wood, LOL.

Never cheap out on any type of tire….Or window cleaner..or trash bags…or socks…or razors….or dog food….or…well you get the point...

New tires worked great! One section of field done...head out to do another.....new discing last year....bad perennial weed seeds/chopped roots are smothering the WW/clover cover crop.

 

Used up a whole lot of leaf bags covering apple peach and chestnut trees in the field...second I started sprayer..a breeze showed up

Perfect right now so headed out.

Grow, If I wasn't ridign it and on tires that small I would probably have opted for solids.

I asked Mr B about switching to solids but he preferred to go with the better made 4ply...I didn't ask why...It only gets used 2 or three times a year...I make sure I always  wash it out with neutralizer really well and use it to bug spray and liquid fertilize around the place..the neutralizer work great!
