Yarding up already

I saw 5 doe's on my front lawn late last night.    1st time all season seeing such a big group.   Usually it's a mama, and 2 fawns.   When do they usually start yarding up for winter ?

Not until after the food sources become scarce. They arent yarding up yet.

Seems awfully early for deer to be yarding. I wouldn't expect to see them yarding for another month + depending on weather of course.

On Saturday I saw a doe with 2 fawns coming down the hill as a doe with one 1 fawn went up the hill ,10 minutes later,3 doe went sideways on the hill ,they're not even on the same pattern yet by us.

I still saw bucks in bachelor groups this weekend.......Had 5 together 3 spikes two fork pointers. The largest four was started to get agitated and would try pushing off a spike here and there so I think the seeking phase is going to start soon.

They start yarding when the snow gets about  feet deep...You have a while to wait for that..I hope...<<grin>>...
