Anyone Coon hunt?

Any of you guys coon hunt with dogs if you do what kind do you got?

i have a treeing walker her name is "PR. Buck Creek Holley"

i like coon hunting no dog thuogh i call them in or hunt with friends that have dogs

I don't hunt them, I just shoot them when I can.

Bowslinger: I've been wanting to try calling them in have you had much luck calling? I usually just trap a couple every year, but I would like to get some more by calling them in if it works like I've heard.

coon pupppys work the best i have a few mouth squealers also not much luck with them where do u live i have a book called coon calling i could loan u and maybe we can get togather for coffee and chat about it

I coon hunt and love every minute of it hunting with a hound is the best fierst you bond with the hound then you get to hear them work I love the sound of a hunting hound!!!

Are raccoons edible? I have eaten woodchucks before. Just curious?

yes they are taste good too best if boned out and fat trimmed

When do you typically hunt coons with your dogs?

If it's after deer season, I may have a place at the north end of 8F I'd like to get the population under control.

yes you may have. we are all avid outdoors people. these are my 2 oldest, there younger sister and mom took there trapper training course yesterday and will be joining us in the field. the younger sister just showed an intrest in the past few months, she 11 and taking here hunters safty course this weekend. then we have the baby she 3 and the best toad catcher you ever seen. lol this is her last year at 2.
