Any word on the expansion of the antler restricted zones????

You will not see any big changes this year no increase in AR’s the only will see maybe an Oct. 1 start to the bow season and the cross –bow thing. Here are some links to look at.

Talked to the DEC guys at the Rochester show they said that there will most likely be no changes in the deer season this year no Oct1 bow opener the only change is the x-bow thing. The Oct1 bow opener won’t happen till 2012 and a youth deer hunt on Columbus Day weekend in 2013.

Has anyone actually heard (fact) or seen the proposed guidelines for the addition of Crossbow?  I have on read it will be for "specific animal harvest in restricted areas" anyone else see or know more???
