Shed buck or unicorn?

So this buck showed up this morning during the snow. It's the first time that I've seen him. At first I thought he was injured and had a lopsided rack with a spike on his left side. But the more I look at it, it looks like the spike is coming out of the middle of his forehead and maybe he shed his left antler already. What do you guys think?

I don't know what to say about that buck other than to me, he looks like an old buck.

I agree. 

Does anyone disagree that the spike on his head is a third antler? I've seen pics of bucks having a third beam, but usually they originate right next to one of the other 2 bases.

He is definitely a maure buck. And you can clearly see the pedicil where he dropped one side of his rack. And the spike growing in the center between the main beams. A truly unique buck!
