Cool added feature to DEC App

So I just got an email from DEC showing that they added a new feature to their app. You can now report your harvest via the app. No longer needing to go online or call. Yep, got that email also so I downloaded the app. It's not bad...

I use it a lot for fishing, I fish a lot of different waters and the legal sizes are all different

Can you reprint a fishing license from the app? No? Then to hell with the DEC.

I just go off the phone with them after spending 30 minutes trying to navigate their site to reprint a misplaced license.

"Why not?"

"Couldn't tell you."

"So what do I do?"

"You have to go to a licensing agent."

"Where is the nearest one in midtown Manhattan?"

"Sorry, we don't have any in Manhattan."

"Why the hell not?"

"Couldn't tell you."

The conversation went downhill from there.

Because if it's like a lost deer tag you have to pay to replace it...Though if you can buy your license on line I don't see why they couldn't reissue a fishing license. Drivers license needed? Good Luck...I hate the DEC web sight...It's like trying to navigate a horrible maze...  reminds me of the movie "Cube"

If you buy online do they send you confirmation email, I would think that would be enough to show DEC until you can get a replacement.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread, but after I wrote the above I emailed CS and had a nice guy walk me through it. The problem was every time I called after his emails the phone agent told me something contrary. Twelve emails and four calls later, the last to a secret number, resulted in a new license being sent to me and a DEC-LS number that will allow me to fish today. Every phone agent told me I needed a hard copy of the license.

At one point I asked one of the phone guys why I couldn't download again and he said it was to stop people from printing multiple licenses. I asked what could I do with 30 fishing licenses and he said, "something no good, I'm sure."

According to the chart below, all I need is the number.

Still have no idea how you use the app to report a harvest.  I downloaded it but i see no option to self report.

When you click on app wait for it to load, it should go to a app menu. Bottom right says e-licensees/ report harvest .click on this app download it and enter your info .

I don't see that option.  I see tabs for: my licenses; new harvest; history; news and info.  None of them allow me to report a harvest.

Didn't load very well for me.. Just went to thewebsite... Annnddd. Put my date of harvest as April instead of may
