I did a national parks trip last year and was in that area. If I remember right a guide we had said it's common for them to have snow on the ground through June and if it was a bad winter sometimes there will be snow on the ground for the 4th of July weekend. What an absolute beautiful area of the county though. I took 1800 pictures in 7 days.
