Dove Hunting News 8/11/2017

I got an email from Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie the other day with some encouraging news.............

"Dear Lawrence,

Thank you for contacting my office to express your support for allowing mourning dove hunting in the Empire State. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this issue.  

Legislation exists that is intended to allow for the taking of mourning doves (A.7778-A). This bill has been referred to the Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee.

You can follow the bill's progress by using the Quick Bill Search tool on the Assembly's website.

As always, public participation remains vitally important to the Assembly. Your input is a valuable resource that helps me to better serve our state.

Nice job Larry!  Anything we can do to help support the Bill? Hell, if it passes, maybe I'll find out what I'm missing, and hunt some doves with my grandson!
