rob-c
There are tons of guys that love Magnus heads, but I am not a fan of 2 blade heads. My biggest buck to date was shot with a Magnus and I have never had a more terrible blood trail. I hit him a little back taking out his liver and the back of his lungs, arrow went in high and exited low and the exit wound sealed back up with his fat( and no it was not guts) I tracked his trail from little drops of blood every now again but mostly from the up turned leaves. after 150 yards and it getting dark fast , I decided to back out and waited till morning. Picked up the trail and he was another 60 yards from where I had stoped just over a ridge. The deer was laying hind end going down hill and on the exit side of the wound. No blood on the ground and his body cavity was filled right up with his blood. So I was not impressed with 2 blade heads. . So that's my experience with Magnus. Nomad
Yep,for the last 25 years or so . Two blade cut on contact ,. I Feel, they hardly feel the arrow pass through , had a few jump or just lift their head up , then fall over a few yards from poi . I had one enter back ribs come out front rib cage low and go through the leg bone . That's a lot of bone cutting .... Last yew years Stingers with bleeders. Any head through both lungs will kill the deer. These fly great , I feel they feel the hit much less, Mangus will resharpen ( replace ) them for free . That's not to,bad . Marginal hits with any head will end in the same outcome. Magnus heads are big with a whole bunch of cutting surface. Always use the Stingers myself which makes them a 4 blade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I am going to politely disagree, I have used spitfire broad heads for years and had a very similar hit on a really big doe . the spitfires cut the liver in half and tore up the back half of the lungs with a blood trail a novice could have followed. And I was using stingers myself, the small diameter of the bleeder blades is ok but not great. As I said tons of guys love Magnus heads , myself not impressed ..
