I didn’t touch this but it was growing on that log, could it be the start of chicken if the woods?

I'm no expert on this but, I think chicken of the woods are past, I know shrooms are interesting, just be safe and buy them in the store

Not chicken of the woods,i think this one might be called witches butter,not positive on that. Won't get any bigger than that...

Damn you just reminded me. I just forgot to grab a dryad saddle that I saw yesterday afternoon when checking a cam-I was surprised how fresh it was-still nice and soft.

Don't think so Paula- the dryad has a different "fleck" on the top- looks like a pheasant wing- I went back tonight to grab the dryad I left and some little nibbling bastard ate it- oh well

This one came up in my yard last month.  I don't care for mushrooms but was wondering if it's edible.

Color seems deeper than chicken of the woods but that is what it almost looks like. I think.

not chicken of the woods if it grows on the ground. That one only grows on dead wood.
