Effective Scouting with very little time

So normally I like to do my scouting in late summer, september at the latest but this year, have just been way too busy to get out;  Im hunting new property cuz just joined a club and havent walked the property since last february.  Im going to go out this weekend and walk around to try to find a couple spots for a stand and my ground blind.  Any advice for how to use my time as productively as possible without burning spots when the season starts in a few weeks?

Find food, find bedding, set up in between.

Scent-Free yourself. Move carefully and quietly. Look for worn trails off main trails and where they lead. Find the Acrorns. Find some tracks. Find some droppings. Any activity that the area is being used recently.

I have had pretty good luck using combination of aerial photography and topography to pick spots. Especially for 1st time hunts on public land.
