I saw this flock by my house this morning . I sat and listened to them gobbling and yelping like it was May 1st.

My ex brother in law has been having  turkeys all around him and toms fighting. He was telling me how we need to thin them out this spring.

Even though there not mating now, they show and establish their pecking order throughout the year.

It's not especially uncommon....male birds gobble and strut all year long, they just do it a lot more when spring gets here.
