chas0218
I went up to my parents for thanksgiving a day early with hopes of bagging a doe for the freezer. There are quite a few nice bucks running around and wouldn't mind one of them but didn't have the time to try and pursue one. I sat in my usual doe spots with nothing to show except a 1.5 y.o. 4 point. There is still standing corn on this one field around 70 acres worth. After sitting a whole day and thanksgiving morning not seeing a thing I made the decision to sit on the corn field hedgerow. Just as I was packing up (had to make it back to go with the wife black Friday shopping) I heard the corn rustling and sure enough a doe pops out. Just as I settle the crosshairs on it I notice another deer behind her even bigger. I change up and take the shot, the .243 did it's job. This is my personal best doe dressed 136lbs. I managed to get some heat and meat for the family over Thanksgiving. I hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving. stubborn1VT
I'm a big fan of the pic. Been there. Congrats! Sounds like you have plenty to be thankful for. (Maybe not Black Friday shopping.)
Pygmy
Good job Chas....That's a big ol' dolly deer for this area....I've weighed quite a few and a doe that dresses over 100 pounds in these parts is a pretty big doe...

chas0218
Thanks guys, took a little bit of work to get her up there by myself. Luckily I got out of the Nick Friday mess. I was really hoping to shoot something. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
