Just dug up my 2017 harvest head. Bugs did a nice job cleaning up the flesh. It just needs a warm water scrub and clean. I do not boil or bleach. I like a natural look myself. Not sure of dimensions. I generally don't care about scoring deer. I will do a rough calculation for those interested. Not my biggest deer however. Teeth wear indicates a 3 year old.

Yep burying - I've got some nice naturals I've found in decent shape. 

 

for me I simmer - change the water out a few times and use dawn dish soap.   One has to really get the nasal cavity clean - its the biggest issue when cleaning a skull - I don't see how a pressure washer can clean it out without blowing out the fragile bones -

I know he still has to get the brain out which I honestly don't know how he does it but the beetles do an excellent job of getting everything else. I will say that the odor from the two old chest freezers he keeps the beetles in isn't very pleasant.
