132 eight pointer
Some of you that were at the recent Rochester gun show may have seen a vendor selling this artists work.I was very impressed with the subject and qaulity of the prints on canvas that I saw.At least one of these is on my wish list.Check out his website and story. http://www.jackpaluh.com/index.html
Lawdwaz
I've seen his work at NWTF banquets for years. Not really my style but YMMV Here is my favorite and a close friend, Thomas Aquinas Daly. He has done plenty of donating to NWTF, NYB, SCI etc. I have a few of Tom's paintings and a pile of his etchings. He has graced the cover of Sporting Classics, Traditional Bowhunter and a bunch of others. In the late 80's he was honored to be one of the top sporting artists of the century by Sports Afield. http://www.thomasaquinasdaly.com/

132 eight pointer
Your friend is very talented. What I thought was different about some of Jack Paluh's work is the Eastern American Indian hunting prints. I have not noticed many artists working on that subject. Most hunters on this site are hunting former Eastern Indian lands so the connection was there. Also the colors on the prints were vivid and that stood out as well. Lawdwaz
I always wondered if the American Indian gave a hoot about shooting a big buck or a long beard gobbler? Seems like a P&Y buck behind every tree back then! He reminds me of Terry Redlin. (SP?)
132 eight pointer
Probably not. I have to believe when hunting means food or no food , a rack or beard size wouldn't be as important as it is to some modern hunters. But I wasn't around then so I can only assume. nyantler
Probably not. I have to believe when hunting means food or no food , a rack or beard size wouldn't be as important as it is to some modern hunters. But I wasn't around then so I can only assume. Remember the antlers were also used for tools and adornments for head dresses and such.. so I'm sure big antlered bucks were of interest to the indians as well... WNYBuckHunter
I saw the paintings at the gun show, they are very nice. I have one of his paintings picked out for our living room, hopefully it will be available when I have the extra cash to put towards it.
