Deformed Decoys

Just thought I'd mention when you pull out decoys that are deformed from being rolled up or stuffed away, use a hair dryer to apply some heat to re-shape. I've used a hair dryer on foam and rubber decoys and it works great. I thought I was going to have to throw out a couple of my decoys, as the necks were bend straight down and bodies terribly deformed. I used a hair dryer to heat up some of the bad spots and reshaped and they look as good as new.

Thats funny I was just thinking about pulling mine out to let them regain their shape before season, good tip.

But what happens when you gotta roll it back up to put in the vest?

They lose their shape when they've been rolled up and packed away for a long time. Just packing in a vest for a few days won't make it stay deformed.

Might sound stupid..but i buy balloons that are bout the same size as the body..but two per cavity..n blow em up..

If its chilly, I'll throw them on truck floor under the heat for the ride upstate.

I have two bobble heads, usually setting them up in the sun fixes them up. Better check `em it's about that time The foam deal is in decent shape even after a few years, one cold day out with it it stayed a bit dented, but the gobbler that went up to it didn't seem to mind.

Just picked up a set of decoys today. Thanks for the tips guys, these things are lookin pretty ugly right now, but Im sure I will get them into shape!
