fasteddie
I nevertried bowfishing . Several years ago there used to be a guy that dressed in camo , wore sun glasses and bowfished off the overpass at Bear Creek Harbor here in Ontario where Bear Creek runs into Lake Ontario . No one seemed to know who he was .....They just referred to him as Rambo ! ;D .. ;D .. ;D

Skillet
I used to do it all the time, until I got real big into Turkey hunting. Most of the spawn seems to be in May. I quit doing it after awhile, because I had no use for them, and felt bad killing them for no reason. It is a ton of fun though. My first kill was a mirror carp in Canandaigua lake, I had it mounted. It was only 10LBS, but looks really cool. Edited February 6, 2012 by Skillet
greybeard
I did it many years ago and got some carp. It was a lot of fun. I don't know why I stopped . I guess it was because in May the bluefish have generally come in and I was fishing for them.
Red
bow fishing is a blast during the day we would go to a shallow creek then in the evening we would go out into the niagara river in a small boat drive out to some shallow spots kill the motor and guide the boat with a long wooden porch railing. we would have one guy use the spot light on the fish and the other guy shoot and take turns what a blast.
