crockpot pork shoulder

I remembered seeing something about cooking a pork shoulder in the crockpot with rootbeer soda[?] and wanted to try it,But can't find it i think it's was in the "what's for dinner" thread.I went back 100 pages but couldn't find it. now i'm starving.Anyway do i just put the pork in with the soda or add spices? if i remember correct is was 18-24 hours on low.

If you put in "root beer" in the search box at the top of the forum, it delivers 2 pages of results.

Pg 84 "whats for dinner(in my browser) has a link posted by 'First-Light' to this recipe that I tried and it was good....

Pork butt takes 10+ hrs to smoke at 225-250*.  I pull mine off the smoker when the bone pulls out with no resistance and pulls out clean.  

Smoked to a internal temp (IT) of 160 ish.  Foil, and continue to cook to a IT of 205 before I test for doneness.

Crock-Pot.  At least 10 hrs to get to the pulling stage.  If slicing, a little less.
