1 st chicks of the year

Every year, a chicken or two comes up missing.  This year was no exception.  They hatched out June 22. A little later than normal.  I would like to share some pictures of the first hatching.  Every year when they surface, I still get excited.

I have a few hens for fresh eggs, with, yes, one rooster.  A few slip away and 21 days later, walla

Hehehehehe... I see you have at least one Polish hen..

I love chickens also...They always seem to be having such a great time, just pecking and scratching around..  They are one of the things I miss most from my "former" life, now that I live in town... ....
